Our Team
Our passionate, volunteer-based Board of Directors is the heart of The NoCo Autism Connection. As parents, advocates, and community members, they work collaboratively to create inclusive experiences, build meaningful connections, and provide lasting support for the autism community in Northern Colorado.

Karmen Peak
President
Karmen Peak is the mother of two incredible children on the autism spectrum. Her children are her passion and the driving force behind the mission of The NoCo Autism Connection. With a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Northern Colorado and continuing studies in Speech and Language Pathology at MSU Denver, Karmen is dedicated to creating accessible resources and inclusive spaces for autistic individuals and their families. She believes that meaningful connection and community are essential parts of advocacy and support. Karmen enjoys spending time with her husband Rick and their kids, being outdoors, and building relationships with other parents who understand the journey of raising a neurodivergent child. She finds joy in creating events that are welcoming, sensory friendly, and truly accommodating. Through The NoCo Autism Connection, she hopes to uplift and empower families across Northern Colorado.

Ashley Sullivan
Secretary

His journey has deeply shaped her life and connected her with a supportive autism community that has made a lasting impact. When Ashley and her husband, Patrick, first received their son’s diagnosis, they felt overwhelmed, but quickly found hope, resources, and connection through this community. She holds a college degree and has professional experience in early childhood, graphic design, healthcare, accounting, and customer service. Ashley loves spending time outdoors - camping, hiking, gardening, or fly fishing beside a mountain stream. She’s also passionate about helping families feel seen, supported, and empowered. No one should walk the autism journey alone.
